Congratulations to Mount Baker School District (Whatcom County), who have successfully opened a new school-based health clinic at Mount Baker Senior High School, providing students with on-site medical services. The clinic, operated by Sea Mar Community Health Centers, is currently open to high school students and offers services such as physicals and mental health referrals.

The ultimate goal is to expand access to the general public in the future. This initiative aims to reduce the need for students to travel to Bellingham for medical care, thereby minimizing class absences and easing the burden on families.

Initiating a school-based health clinic is a complicated and time-consuming effort, and we are excited for Mount Baker staff, students, and school community for bringing the service to life!
