The NWESD 189 is hosting a free webinar for school leaders and staff titled “Protections, Policies & Procedures: Know Your Rights, Protecting Our Students and Families.” This session will provide an overview of Washington State policies and procedures designed to safeguard students and their families.
Participants will gain insights into student rights, guidance from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), inclusionary practices to support students facing challenges, protections for immigrant students in K-12 schools, and safety protocols in the event of an ICE visit.
The webinar will conclude with a 30-minute Q&A session.
