What is 764?
The 764 network is a dangerous online group considered a serious national security threat by the FBI. It first appeared in Stephenville, Texas in 2021, taking its name from a local ZIP code prefix. Originally part of a group called CVLT, 764 has since evolved into a decentralized, global operation that uses platforms like Discord and Telegram.
The group primarily targets minors, often aged 8 to 17, grooming them online and coercing them into self-harm, sexual exploitation, and, in extreme cases, suicide. 764 is also linked to violent ideologies such as neo-Nazism and Satanism, and has ties to other extremist organizations like the Order of Nine Angles. Tactics include sextortion, doxxing, swatting, and intense psychological manipulation.
