A new name for a critical resource for schools and community partners across Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom counties: the Child, Youth & Family Crisis Team operated through Compass Health has officially changed its name to YGo.
While the name is new, the mission remains the same. YGo helps children and teens experiencing behavioral health crises by meeting them where they are—in community settings such as schools, homes, shelters, and juvenile court—to stabilize their situation and connect them to ongoing services and support.
Who YGo Serves
YGo is available at no cost to youth or families and serves children and young people 20 years old or younger who are physically located in Snohomish, Skagit, or Whatcom counties. Services are available to youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis (mental health and/or substance use) or in a pre-crisis situation that appears to be escalating and could result in a crisis without intervention. Services are provided regardless of insurance or funding source.
What YGo Provides
YGo offers short-term crisis intervention and stabilization using a strength-based, solution-focused, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approach. Care is client-centered and tailored to each youth’s unique needs, circumstances, and supports.
Teams can respond to schools and community locations, working collaboratively with educators, caregivers, and community partners to help ensure safety, reduce immediate risk, and connect youth and families to longer-term services when needed.
We encourage schools and community partners to update your materials and referral processes to reflect the new name, YGo, and to continue utilizing this vital service when a child or teen needs timely, compassionate crisis support. Together, we can strengthen our region’s safety net and ensure young people get the care they need—when and where they need it most.
