Recently, many of our educators, counselors, and youth-serving partners throughout the region joined us for an excellent presentation by Hannah Smith, a local Licensed Mental Health Counselor with specializations in Anxiety, Neurodiversity, Trauma, and personal development.

Hannah has since scheduled a series of UNMasking Work Groups that build on the core concepts of her UNMasking training. These sessions will take a deeper dive into three foundational areas:

  1. Neurodivergent-Specific Stress
  2. The 10 Domain Tool
  3. The 3 As and Other Brain Organizers

These work groups are designed to be welcoming and accessible. Whether you’re a teacher, therapist, counselor, nurse, parent, administrator, or just a curious learner, these sessions are open to you. You’re welcome to attend just one, or all three – whatever fits your interest and schedule.

Each session is 90 minutes long and offered twice this year. All are held online:

Section 1: Neurodivergent-Specific Stress

  • Friday, September 12 | 4:30–6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, October 8 | 9:30–11:00 AM

Section 2: The 10 Domain Tool

  • Thursday, September 18 | 1:45–3:15 PM
  • Friday, October 17 | 4:00–5:30 PM

Section 3: The 3 As & Other Brain Organizers

  • Friday, September 26 | 4:30–6:00 PM
  • Friday, October 24 | 4:30–6:00 PM

Cost: $45 per session

If you attend all three, your final session is only $30

Reduced fees are available — feel free to recommend someone in need.

Therapists and counselors will likely be able to earn 1 CE per session.

If you haven’t yet attended the core UNMasking training, there are still two chances to join the 3-CE Overview Course:

These overview sessions introduce the content that the work groups will elaborate on.

Note: We are sharing this content in support of our educational community and of our professional partner. The SSWC is not hosting these events.
