The School Safety and Wellness Center (SSWC) is hosting a Level 1 Student Threat Assessment Training on October 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Marysville, WA.

This training will provide an overview of the Salem-Keizer Cascade Student Threat Assessment System and is designed for school staff and community partners interested in learning the foundations of student threat assessment and management.

Participants will gain knowledge and tools in the following areas:

  • Access to resources and materials
  • Core principles of threat assessment and management
  • Framework and application of site-based Level 1 student threat assessments
  • Supportive research, recommendations, and referral process to Level 2 teams
  • Awareness of youth risk factors

Join us to strengthen school safety and enhance your ability to support students effectively.

This training is open to everyone who serves on a Level 1 threat assessment team throughout the region — attendance is not limited to Marysville staff.

We understand that school leaders across the region often have limited time to travel to Anacortes, and we believe the Level 1 Student Threat Assessment training is most effective when delivered in person. To make this essential training more accessible, the SSWC is working to offer sessions in convenient locations throughout the region. If your district or community is interested in hosting a training, please contact us!

Register for this free training on pdEnroller. See you there!

In the meantime, check out our new Threat Assessment Power Series (TAPS) on YouTube.
